Service Description
The IT Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the process of managing IT programs (portfolios of projects) starting with the proposal stage through the entire project management lifecycle.
Activities included
- Assist Project Managers with the development and creation of charters for IT Services based projects.
- Advise Business Application Services Managers on high priority Business Application projects.
- Assess project requests for alignment with the university Strategic Vision, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Security and Business Continuity standards.
- Provide project management development skills to IT department project managers and team leaders.
- Track project charter and project plan for quality assurance of the Project Management process.
- Create and maintain a consistent project management process and templates.
- Maintenance of approved project management documentation templates.
Activities not included
- Project management support for non-IT projects.
- Project management support for student led projects.
Service Availability
Sunday – Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00, Excluding university holidays.
Available Training
No end-user training is provided to clients on how to utilize the service.
