Brief:
The ICT and IT Security Department will be migrating the iLearn (Blackboard) system from being hosted on our campus to Blackboard Inc.'s cloud-based offering known as SaaS (Software as a Service). This service improvement offers AUS an evolving set of learning management & collaboration tools.
The migration process will start at 6:00am on 2nd January 2020 until 6:00pm on 9th January. During this period the iLearn service will be unavailable.
Services Affected:
- iLearn (https://ilearn.aus.edu)
Outage Date / Time:
- 2nd January 6:00am to 9th January 6:00pm
Outage Purpose:
- To migrate iLearn (Blackboard) from being hosted on AUS premise to cloud hosting
Changes to the Service:
- Increase service uptime to 99.9%
- The weekly planned downtime will no longer take place
- The iLearn login will become part of the AUS unified Single Sign On service (similar to the email).
- The iLearn Web Folders feature (WebDAV) will be discontinued. Please contact the IT Service Desk if you are mapping web folders on iLearn
What you Need to Do:
Since the iLearn (Blackboard) service will be down for 7 days, please ensure that you download any documents or materials that will be required during this time prior to the scheduled downtime.
