I would like to protect the dialing through my phone. Can I have a lock code to prevent dialing off-campus numbers even for local numbers when activated?

It is possible to lock your phone using a security code. When your phone is locked, you will be able to call internal extensions only and off-campus dialing will be restricted. When your phone is unlocked, you will have a full access to the telephone features and dialing.

You should first get a four digits security code chosen by the end user and given to the IT dept. You may place a request through itservicedesk.aus.edu, send an email to [email protected] or call extension: 2121.

To lock your phone:

Step 1: Enter the lock code *25 followed by the pound key #.
Step 2: Enter the security code followed by the pound key #.

To un-lock your phone:

Step 1: Enter the un-lock key #25 followed by the pound key #.
Step 2: Enter security code followed by the pound key #.

Note: Check with the IT department for possibility to program the telephone buttons for easier lock/un-lock methods.
