What is Respondus LockDown browser and monitor?
Respondus Monitor is the AUS Exam proctoring tool. Respondus LockDown Browser is a customized browser which increases the security of test delivery in iLearn (Blackboard). When students use Respondus LockDown Browser to access an exam, they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. This prevents students from using instant messaging programs, search engines or any other digital resource during the examination. LockDown Browser will directly go to the iLearn (Blackboard) login page. Students will then login in using their AUS credentials
Preparing an Exam for Use with Respondus Monitor (webcam) and LockDown Browser
Before you require students to take a test using their webcam, there are certain steps you need to take. Check this video if you would give a test that requires a webcam.

- Enable the test to be taken with the Lockdown Broswer
- Enable the test to require the use of a webcam

Check students results after a Respondus Monitor exam
After your students have successfully attempted a test that required a webcam, you might need to check their resulsts and access the recordings of their webcams.
