How can I access my AUS personal network (ausdrive) folder on Windows?
On Windows 10

Step 1: On your desktop, right-click on the "This PC" icon and click on "Map network drive".

Step 2: Pick "U:" from the drop down menu available next to "Drive" and in the text box next to "Folder" enter the following: \\ausdrive.aus.edu\YourAUSUsername

Step 3: Check "Connect using different credentials" only if the username and password you used to log onto your PC are NOT your AUS credentials. Also check "Reconnect at sign-in" and then click on "Finish".

Step 4: If you had checked "Connect using different credentials", a window will pop up asking you for your AUS credentials. Make sure to enter your username in this format: aus\YourAUSUsername and click on "OK". 

Step 5: Your network folder should open instantly and you should be able to always find it...

How can I access my AUS personal network (ausdrive) folder on MAC OS?

This step-to-step guide has three parts which focus on the following: 

Part I: How to access (connect and mount) your AUS personal network, ausdrive, folder on to your Desktop.
Part II: How to create an Alias -  a shortcut to connecting to your AUS personal network folder.
Part III: How to map your AUS personal network folder on to your Mac.

Part I: To connect and mount your AUS personal network folder, follow the steps below: 

Step 1: From the Finder, click on Go and select 'Connect to Server'. Alternatively, you can also hit Command+k on your keyboard. 

Step 2: Enter the path to the network drive you want to map, i.e.: smb://ausdrive.aus.edu/yourusername and click Connect.

You can also click the + icon to add the server path to your favorites for future reference.

In order to securely store or access any program files or folders created while using Apps Anywhere, you must select your AUS personal network (ausdrive) as the root location. Any files saved outside of your AUS personal network folder may not be accessible when you use the software again via Apps Anywhere. 

To correctly identify your AUS personal network folder take note of the following: 

Your AUS personal network folder will automatically be mapped under "This PC"  The correct drive will have the (U:) indication next to it's name. 

Once selected you can save or open any previously saved files as shown through the pictures below:
