How to take an Offline Backup of an iLearn course site.

To make room for upcoming courses on our iLearn platform and to ensure that we continue to have the maximum service availability, Courses that belong to semesters prior to Summer 2019 will be disabled on Monday, March 1st, 2021.

Blackboard offers two course site backup methods:

Part I: Course Site Export
Part II: Course Site Archive

The course export only contains course content like materials you uploaded, assignments you added, and tests you created. A course archive, on the other hand, contains course content plus students’ activities, grading, feedback, etc. A course archive is a true snapshot of an iLearn course at the time the archive was created.

After exporting or archiving the course, you will need to download the package file that contains the course export or archive.

How do I access AUS Video portal?

Step 1: Visit https://iLearn.aus.edu and login with your AUS credentials.

Step 2: Click on the “Videos” tab at the top right corner.

Bb Collaborate Ultra no longer works with LockDown Browser. Error message "Chrome 78 isn't supported"

Issue description

Instructors who wish to monitor their students live during a LockDown Broswer exam adds a URL to a Bb Collaborate Session on the iLearn exam page. Students will click on the link and join the Bb Collaborate session on the LockDown Browser in a new tab.

This is now has been reported no longer working. Students will not be connected to the Bb Collaborate session and will get the error message "Chrome 78 isn't support"

Explanation

Bb Collaborate usually updates its browser version requirements more frequently. On Chrome the current version required at the time of this article is Chrome 79. LockDown Browser is a Chromium based browser that is currently at version 78 which is not supported by Bb Collaborate. That's the reason why Bb Collaborate doesn't currently work under Respondus...

How to easily navigate iLearn - Global Navigation Menu

Global Navigation Menu

Once you have logged in to iLearn, the Global Navigation Menu is always located in the upper right-hand corner of the display. Clicking your name or selecting the small triangle activates a pull-down menu where shortcuts are provided. Next to the triangle may be a small number in a red square indicating that changes, notifications, and updates have been made in any of your courses since the last login.

How to Send Blackboard Collaborate Attendance Records to your iLearn Course Site

Step 1
Turn on the Attendance Module in your course site.

If you are unfamiliar with the Attendance module, you can get a full description of Blackboard’s Attendance module’s functionality here.

Step Two
Edit or create the Blackboard Collaborate Ultra sessions that will record attendance to the Attendance module in your course site.

Additional Notes
Attendance cannot be connected retroactively. If a session has already begun or is in the past, attendance data can no longer be automatically updated for this session into your Blackboard course site. Future sessions (and future recurring sessions) can be edited to enable attendance tracking.

A Student's Guide to taking LockDown Browser Exam

Step 1: Sign onto the computer. Double click the Lockdown Browser Lab Icon on the Desktop. It will look like the icon shown below.

Step 2: Sign into iLearn.

Step 3: Accept the "Privacy Cookies and Terms of Use".

Step 4: Choose your Class from your courses, click on the content area where the exam is waiting for you, and click on the exam itself.

Step 5: Click Begin on the exam.

Step 6: Enter the password.

Step 7: To Submit your exam, you must be on the last question on the exam, then click on “Save and Submit”.

Important to Note:

In Walk-in situations we will treat the Main Room as Reception or Waiting Area while the Breakout Groups will be reserved for one-to-one or small group private interactions. Settings and access permissions apply to the Main Room. Within the Breakout group, Participants or Presenters will have the same access as the Moderator. For instance, they will be able to share and remove files, share their screens and access their camera and microphone.
