Case One:

1. When the error message shown in the figure below appears, there will be two option buttons:

CANCEL and LOGIN.  Click on CANCEL and the student may resume the exam.

2. If the LOGIN button was clicked, the student will be presented with the standard iLearn login screen, but the student will be unable to log back in. A proctor must then:

a. Click on the “I” button.

b. Then click on the Proctor Options button.

c. Then enter the proctor’s exit password.

Issue description

Instructors who wish to monitor their students live during a LockDown Broswer exam adds a URL to a Bb Collaborate Session on the iLearn exam page. Students will click on the link and join the Bb Collaborate session on the LockDown Browser in a new tab.

This is now has been reported no longer working. Students will not be connected to the Bb Collaborate session and will get the error message "Chrome 78 isn't support"

Explanation

Bb Collaborate usually updates its browser version requirements more frequently. On Chrome the current version required at the time of this article is Chrome 79. LockDown Browser is a Chromium based browser that is currently at version 78 which is not supported by Bb Collaborate. That's the reason why Bb Collaborate doesn't currently work under Respondus...

Step 1: Using Google Chrome, go to ilearn.aus.edu and log in with your AUS credentials. 

Step 2: Click on 'Videos' in the menu on the top-right corner. 

Step 3: Click on ‘Browse’ from the menu options on the left. 

Depending on where you selected to save your Panopto recordings, all recordings can be found within 'My Folders' tab (Course videos can also be seen here if created before).
*'All folders' will display any content which is public.

Blackboard Collaborate Ultra now allows you to send multiple, up to 500, invitations at once using an Excel sheet. However, this feature is not available through an iLearn course but on Blackboard Collaborate Ultra accounts only. Follow the steps below to learn how:  
 

Step 1: Open a Microsoft Excel file to add your guest details. Name the columns as the following: 

displayName (required) email (required) role (optional; if left blank the system will automatically assign your guests the participant role) moderator presenter participant

NOTE: It is important to use the exact headings. Any other version, such as Display Name or E-mail, will not be recognized by the system. Please see the picture provided in Step 3.

Step 1: On iLearn, go to your selected Course Page and into the Full Grade Centre.

Step 2: On Full Grade Centre, click on Reports and then select Create Report from the drop down menu. 

Step 3: Choose the Report Settings as shown below: 

       


This will generate a Report for you as shown below: 

Step 4: Paste the generated Report onto Excel as shown below:

Step 1: Log in to iLearn

Step 2: Under 'My Courses' on the iLearn home page, select the Course which requires Bluepulse. Example, "My_Course_Waseem". 

Step 3: Click on the sign, on the top left corner. Then, click on Course Link

Step 4: Click on Browse. 

Step 5: On the pop-up window, click on Tools. From the drop-down, click on Bluepulse. 

Step 6: Enter a name for the tool which will show in the Course Menu. Ensure you have checked the box for 'Available to Users'. Then, click on Submit

The Bluepulse tool link will now be visible on the Course Menu (as shown in the picture). To open the portal, simply click on the link!

Step 1: Sign onto the computer. Double click the Lockdown Browser Lab Icon on the Desktop. It will look like the icon shown below.
 
         

Step 2:  Sign into iLearn.

Step 3: Accept the "Privacy Cookies and Terms of Use".

Step 4: Choose your Class from your courses, click on the content area where the exam is waiting for you, and click on the exam itself.
 
Step 5: Click Begin on the exam.

Step 7:  To Submit your exam, you must be on the last question on the exam, then click on “Save and Submit”.
